Kyron Horman--Better Off Not Found??????

While searching on-line this morning, I came across a blog written by Kim Cooper, who, along with her husband, claim to be "Relationship experts" and is the author and co-author of several books, articles and videos on the subject of emotional abuse and narcissistic personality disorder within a relationship.
I'm not here to refute any advice she may give on that subject. I'm sure it's very good as she has lived with it in her own relationship.
I do however question her blog about her "opinion" on Kyron's disappearance.

As mind boggling as the title is, it in no way is as disturbing as the blog itself.

Kyron Horman -- Better Off Not Found?

KYRON HORMAN -- NOT ONE SCRAP OF EVIDENCE THAT KYRON WAS HARMED WHEN HE DISAPPEARED ...
I have a strong suspicion that -- for now -- this cute little guy is probably better off left where he is.

It's also my opinion that Kyron Hormon's step mother -- Terri Moulton Horman -- probably had her own very real (and understandable) reasons when she tried to hire someone to kill Kyron's father (her then husband) before Kyron's disappeared. I also believe that she is the furthest thing in the world from a psychopath. I believe people should leave her in peace and consider that she may have also had a very good reason to arrange for Kyron to go into hiding.

Of more concern to me is the couple's baby girl and I believe that stringent investigations should be made into her fathers fitness for any form of custody.

Please understand me saying “She probably had her own very good reasons when she tried to hire someone to kill her husband,"  does not mean I condone murder. I am only suggesting that it appears likely to me that she was in a situation with very few options and this can sometimes lead otherwise gentle and sane people into making bad choices.

If Terri’s eldest boy was offered a chance to prosecute his step father under a media black out and with strict protection placed on his privacy - the other members of this family might be reunited once more and Kyron allowed to re assume his real identity.

This might also save Kyron's dad any further possible attempts on his life ...  but there are no guarantees in jail.

Just my opinion and a few hints as to what I believe may be the real story behind this case.

Note, Ms. Cooper never denies a belief of Terri's possible involvement in the MFH or Kyron's disappearance, but states Terri 'probably' had her own understandable reasons to hire someone to kill Kaine and also a very good reason to arrange for Kyron to "go into hiding", yet her very next words were a concern for the couple's baby girl, that  "stringent investigations" should be made into KAINE'S fitness for any form of custody.

Did I read that right?

Why, yes I did.

She goes on to say she is not condoning Terri's plot to kill Kaine, but is only suggesting that Terri had very few options left which would lead this "otherwise gentle and sane" person to make bad choices. Why would a "relationship expert" think that it's "understandable" for Terri to try to hire someone to kill Kaine instead of simply getting a divorce like normal people do who are unhappy in their marriages?

So, in Ms. Coopers opinion, Terri simply made some "bad choices", that's all. (Poor misunderstood Terri) And because of these "bad choices" we should just leave her alone, let her have her life (and her daughter) back and investigate Kaine instead????

Seriously?

Let's address first her comment on Terri's lack of options.
From the reports, Terri had many, many friends. Some of these friends were so close that after Kyron disappeared they willingly used fake ID's to purchase untraceable cell phones so their conversations couldn't be tracked by LE. One friend in particular moved in with her for several days to help protect her from death threats she supposedly had received. The father of this friend was also in Law enforcement. Did it ever occur to her to go to him and ask for advice?
Where were these friends BEFORE the MFH and Kyron's disappearance? Wouldn't you think, if she had friends such as these, they would also have been there to offer help and support if she (or Kyron) were being abused? Did they offer help, but Terri ignored it?
Then there is her family. Her parents were both educators and from all reports were and are highly respected in their community. Did she feel she couldn't go to them for help and advice?
No, it is MY opinion that IF any abuse had been occurring in that home, Terri did not WANT help. Terri did what she WANTED to do.
But WAS Kaine being abusive?

Just as Ms. Cooper doesn't believe there is one shred of evidence that Terri is responsible of harming Kyron, neither is there one shred of evidence to support such allegations of Kaine abusing either Terri OR Kyron.

Ms. Cooper goes on to say in a comment to an anonymous poster that abuse (specifically sexual abuse) often runs in families and it is likely Terri is protecting Kyron from his father. Not only did she (in Ms. Coopers opinion) spirit Kyron away to protect him and give him a whole new identity, she sent him to someone in Kaine's family who understood the need for "such drastic steps." She states she suspects Terri delivered Kyron to another family member, not only to protect him from further abuse, but so that he wouldn't have to testify against Kaine, that Terri has "sacrificed herself" to "save him".
The fact she timed his disappearance AFTER the science fair project was in, shows, in her opinion, that Terri is an "understanding and empathetic" person and her actions shows "an enormous amount of courage and valor." And the plan of sending him away is indeed probably the best plan she had available to her for Kyron's well being.

Really?
So let me see if I understand this. Even though Ms. Cooper just stated that sexual abuse often runs in families, it's HER opinion Terri sent Kryon to live with someone IN THE FAMILY for protection???  Does that make any sense?
No it does not.

Why not simply send Kyron to his MOTHER???
And what about Desiree? Even if any of these "opinions" WERE true, Terri had no legal rights to Kyron.
So what RIGHT did she think she had to take it upon herself to remove Kyron from HIS MOTHER for even one day, much less 2 YEARS?????? What right does she have to cause such terror and heart-ache to the ONE PERSON, his mother, who could have truly helped protect him? And again, FOR 2 YEARS?
She HAD no right!!!!!!!

Then there is Kaine and Terri's little girl. Let's not forget about her. If Kaine is such an abusive person that she felt Kyron was in danger, what about her safety? Even Ms. Cooper believes "it would seem" that she too is in danger.
Does Ms. Cooper actually not only believe all of this, but expect the public and LE to believe this as well?? (well, considering she believes Casey Anthony is innocent of all charges, I'm guessing she actually does believe it)

Excuse me, but the FACT is, the court gave Kaine custody of their daughter almost 2 YEARS AGO!!!!! If Kyron was in such danger that he had to be removed secretly from the home and her daughter TOO is in danger, isn't it past the time for Terri to speak up? After all, if any of this speculation were true, Kyron is no longer where Kaine can harm him. Since he's now out of an abuser's reach, isn't it now safe as well as PAST TIME for her to speak up? Look at what she has lost- Her child, her home, her "good name", even most of her friends, not to mention, she'll never, ever be able to work with children again.

Are there people out there who actually believe she wouldn't have sang like a bird to protect and preserve, not only her little girl, but her integrity? Her "good name"? What in the name of all common sense is holding her back from speaking up NOW?
The time to speak up would have been  BEFORE she CHOSE to hire someone to kill Kaine. The time to speak up would have been BEFORE she CHOSE to "secretly send Kyron into hiding". The time to speak up would have been just ONE of the times Kyron begged to go home to Desiree. The time to speak up would have been AFTER Kyron's "supposed" Dr.'s appointment when she would have had the documentation/evidence of abuse in hand (not give Kaine the heads up beforehand)  Even if she CHOSE not to speak up any of those times, then what about AFTER Kyron was whisked away to safety? The time to speak up would have been when Desiree and Tony, (Tony, as we all know is LE) came rushing to Terri's home, frantic and worried sick over the disappearance of their son.
The time to speak up was when Capt. Mike Shultz was staying in the home 24/7 for the first several days of the search effort.
Media was camped out at the end of their driveway for DAYS. If Terri were to have marched down there to call a press conference and present her evidence, she would have had the attention of the whole world!!!!
Did she take any of these opportunities to speak up?
No she did not.
Yet we hear from her supporters that even if she HAD spoken up, no one would have believed her.
Now we wouldn't, no, as it would simply be too little too late, but in the early days, that would NOT have been the case.

If any of these abuse theories and the subsequent protection of Kyron were true, Terri had ALL DAY on June 4, 2010, to not ONLY send Kyron to Desiree to safety, but to whisk herself and her little girl far away to safety as well. But she did not.

Kind, understanding, empathetic, SACRIFICING "Mother's" do NOT behave the way Ms. Cooper "theorized" Terri's behavior.

There is only one reasonable conclusion to be drawn to explain why Terri has CHOSEN not to speak up about Kaine's abuse of Kyron. She HAS no proof of any such allegations as it's simply not true.
To say Terri either took Kyron away to protect him, or had someone else take him for the same reasons is absolutely ludicrous.

To quote Ms. Cooper "If facts don't fit together I believe that is usually where the lie can be disclosed (if someone has good reasoning skills)."
